Agrish adult bed rails expanded recall (1 Oct 2026): ~35,083 units

On October 1, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Agrish Direct is reannouncing and expanding its recall of Agrish adult portable bed rails to about 35,083 units. About 5,000 of those rails were already covered by Agrish’s earlier January 2026 recall; this notice adds more units and names models 12014, AG-12011, and 12016. ShopperCove did not examine any of these bed rails. Everything below comes from the CPSC recall notice (recall number 27-014), read on 5 October 2026.

The recall at a glance

From the CPSC notice:

  • Product: Agrish adult portable bed rails, models 12014, AG-12011, and 12016, for use on adult beds. White tubing with rounded gray foam rubber handle grips. Model numbers are printed in the owner’s manual and labeled on the bed rail’s metal post. Each model has multiple batch numbers and manufacture dates listed on the unit and the instruction manual.
  • Sizes (CPSC):

- 12014 — about 11 inches wide and 39 inches in height - AG-12011 — about 12 inches wide and 42 inches in height - 12016 — about 37 inches wide and 45 inches in height

  • Hazard: the rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails. Users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The rails also fail structural stability or retention strap requirements (fall hazard), and incorrectly sized push pins / push pin holes pose a laceration hazard.
  • Units: about 35,083 (about 5,000 previously recalled in January 2026).
  • Remedy: full refund.
  • Sold: on Amazon.com from April 2025 through May 2026 for between $50 and $80.
  • Incidents: the firm received one report of a consumer fall involving model AG-12011.
  • Manufacturer / importer: Zhongshan Lebo Medical Co., Ltd., of China; Shenzhen Yunshangqinyang E-commerce Ltd., dba Agrish Direct, of China. Made in China.
  • Recall number: 27-014.

How this expansion differs from the January 2026 Agrish recall

CPSC’s October notice is an expansion: about 5,000 rails from the January 2026 action are rolled into a larger ~35,083-unit total, with the October models listed as 12014, AG-12011, and 12016. If you already responded to the January Agrish bed-rail notice, still check whether any remaining rail matches these October model numbers.

What to do if you have one

CPSC’s instructions:

  1. Stop using the recalled bed rail immediately.
  2. Contact Agrish Direct for a full refund.
  3. Register at http://www.agrish.online/recall for the recall and for instructions on how to dispose of the rail.

How to reach Agrish Direct, as listed by CPSC:

  • Email: agrish.us@outlook.com
  • Online: http://www.agrish.online/recall, or www.agrish.online → “More” → “Recall”

Have the model number from the metal post or the owner’s manual ready. The CPSC notice does not say whether a receipt or Amazon order number is required; keep one if you still have it.

Why entrapment risk matters

Adult portable bed rails are often bought to help an older adult get in and out of bed. CPSC’s hazard language is about entrapment and asphyxiation between the rail and the mattress (or within the rail), plus fall and laceration risks from stability and hardware problems. This article is not medical advice. If someone is trapped, injured, or having trouble breathing around a bed rail, seek emergency help.

Do not resell a recalled rail. Federal law prohibits selling products subject to a Commission-ordered recall or a voluntary recall undertaken with CPSC.

Quick checklist

  • Find every Agrish adult portable bed rail in the home.
  • Match the model on the metal post / manual to 12014, AG-12011, or 12016.
  • Stop using any match right away.
  • Register at http://www.agrish.online/recall or email agrish.us@outlook.com for a full refund and disposal instructions.
  • Do not sell or give away a recalled unit.

This article will not update automatically. For the current wording, use the CPSC notice.
